Windcrest Living Center was built in Copperas Cove, in 1979. At first, only geriatrics, but the need for pediatrics also developed. Thus, a pediatric wing was open to meet the growing need of familes who have children with severe health challenges. Windcrest also meets the needs for placement of the younger population which includes 22-60 due to no other options available for this aged group and their loved ones.

Hill Country offers short-term stays for Medicare residents needing rehabilitation. A wander guard system is available for those needing the security. Long term care is also provided in a peaceful and homelike atmosphere. Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy are provided by staff.
